Becky Guggisberg
Becky Guggisberg lives in the South Coast, NSW and draws her inspiration from her surroundings. For Becky the iconic Australian landscape is the beach with its constant coming and going of tides, seasons, figures and time. She draws on the work of Cezanne's bathers and admires his aim
to unite the figure and the landscape. She is also influenced by the work of Cy Twombly in the way he abstracts and simplifies forms.
Becky completed the Advanced Diploma of Fine Art at West Wollongong Tafe in 2009 majoring in painting. She was a finalist in the Paddington Art Prize in 2007 and has held many successful exhibitions. Her work is held in many private collections throughout Australia and in the UK.
