Dganit Blechner

Dganit Blechner was born in Israel. From 1980 - 1984 she studied photography and art at the Avni Institute of Arts in Jaffa. For more than two decades she pursued her professional career as a graphic designer at leading design studios, and several major Israeli magazines. She was on one of the persons responsible for forming the visual concept of 'Yediot Aharanot's first magazine for youth, named 'Rosh Ehad'.

Since 2005 she has expressed her unique style in a new technique of digital art prints using mixed media in a pop art style. She uses images of famous people, like Woody Allen, Einstein, Audrey Hepburn and Mick Jagger with imagery appropriate to the subject in the background. Her own special style of combining all sorts of visual sources together in a personal colourful composition contributes to making her works so unique.

As a result of the enthusiastic public support for her work, she is now solely committed to her art. She has exhibited at Sofa art expo, Chicago, art Expo, New York and the Eden Gallery for Contemporary Art in New York and Jerusalem.
