John Waller

John Waller was born in Australia in 1951. In 1972 he completed an Associate Diplomma of Fine Art( Sculpture ). In 1975 he completed a Dip.Ed. at the State College of Victoria, Melbourne. His paintings are derived from the landscape he has an emotional empathy with. His paintings appear to be abstracted, but a landscape subject is always insistently there in his geometric forms.

He has been artist in residence a few times at La Trobe University Art Museum in Melbourne. He has held many solo exhibitions in Melbourne and his work can be found in private collections in Australia, Italy, France, the UK and the USA.

His commissions include the Mildura Arts Centre, Victoria, La Trobe University, Melbourne, Artbank and Telstra Melbourne
