Nick Hall

Nick Hall was born in Sydney. In 2004 he completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the National Arts School, Sydney.He has won many awards including 1st prize for senior drawing at the Mosman Youth Art Prize in 2001 and 2003, theEnvironmental Art Award at TAP Gallery, Sydney in 2004 and the North Sydney Municipal Art Prize for painting in 2005Major influences on his work are Francis Bacon, William Kentridge and Cy Twombly. “ Science, politics, sex and powerare all reflected in my work, but primarily I would like the viewer to consider them in purely a visual concept”His work is held in private collections in Australia, the UK and USA.
