Rodney Blumenfeld

Rodney Blumenfeld was born in South Africa and lived in Durban where he worked as an architect. His interest in pottery as a hobby became a full time occupation when the popularity of his vessels and platters reached a high level. He was interested in the Xhosa and Ndebele culture and incorporated some of their shapes and themes into his pottery.

He recently moved to Perth, Australia and exhibits regularly in Sydney and Perth. His work is held in private collections in Australia, South Africa and the U.S.A. and important peole who have collected his work are Nelson Mandela,  Bill Clinton and Tina Turner
